Mark Towner’s extensive experience in museums, galleries, and institutional collections, prepared him to advise collectors, artists, and organizations on the thoughtful development and long-term stewardship of art collections. His background includes leadership roles at the several museums, curatorial and exhibition experience, and work with artists, donors, and boards in both museum and academic settings. At one point he managed an “art in state buildings program, overseeing more than 1 million dollars of art acquisitions. Towner provides guidance on collection planning, documentation, conservation awareness, and strategies for legacy gifting and estate transfer. His approach emphasizes preserving artistic intent, ensuring responsible stewardship, and helping collections find appropriate institutional homes where works may be preserved, studied, and presented for future generations.
